Happy Holidays!

Life has been crazy busy since the end of October and I finally feel like I'm getting time to do non-critical things (besides of course being a mom, playing outside, and going to the park!). We had a wonderful holiday season, including two trips out to Utah to see family in two months. Now BB asks regularly if he can get on an airplane to go see Grandma & Grandpa - if it were only that easy (and cheap!). There are some things I've struggled to love about California, but after a few days in serious Utah snow (11 inches in one day!) and cold (3 degrees in the morning!), I have learned to appreciate the warm weather here and that almost any day is a day to go to the park. BB just loves the outdoors and so we really missed the good weather of California. He's so brave and energetic, until it comes to snow: he just stands and stares as if he can't quite believe this beautiful stuff so SO COLD! But our second trip we were more prepared with a real coat (instead of our California jacket) and even snow pants, and yet he still just stood there in awe in the snow. :)

Unfortunately, when we were out in the snow I was too busy watching BB to take pictures, but here are a few of my favorites from the last few months.

Christmas morning! (Actually, we started Christmas Eve morning, which was good because we'd open a toy and play with it, open another toy and play with it... But what fun we had!)

Cousins!

This is a serious game of bowling!

We loaned our infant car seat to a friend and BB was so happy to see it, but a bit disappointed that he no longer fits!

For Halloween we discovered the joy of candy - especially chocolate! BB loves to eat "chocolate cake" aka Reese Peanut Butter cups.

That's one tired Daddy!

For Halloween I made BB a Thomas the Train costume, unfortunately once the box was painted he decided there was no way he was actually going to wear it.

One of the rare moments in his Halloween costume (just look at his face!).

Before the box was painted there was nothing he loved better than to run around in it. I guess during the week I hid it from him the connection was lost because he never wanted to wear it afterwards. Oh well. :)
